Privacy notice

This notice explains what we do with the personal details you send us through this website, and the rights you have under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

Last updated 26 September 2026

Who we are

Brasenwall Professional Services (“Brasenwall”, “we”) is a human resources firm at 139 New Ipaja (PEP Building), Akinogun Bus Stop, Ipaja, Lagos. We decide how the details you send us are used.

For anything about your personal data, including the requests described below, email us at brasenwall@outlook.com.

What we collect

We only collect what you type into our forms, plus what is needed to keep the forms safe.

Applying for a role, or sending your CV

  • Your name, email address and phone number.
  • Your CV (a PDF or Word file) and anything you add in the optional note.
  • The role you applied for, and the date and time you gave your consent.

Sending a brief or asking us to call you

  • Your name, company and email address, and your phone number if you give it.
  • What you tell us about the role or the work you need.

Registering interest in a CIPM class

  • Your name, email address and phone number.
  • The cohort you chose and anything you add in the optional message.

Keeping the forms safe

When you send a form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are a person and not an automated program. To do this, Cloudflare receives your IP address and details about your browser. We also use your IP address for a few minutes to stop the same device sending too many forms. We do not store it with your details.

Why we use it

  • Applications: with your consent (the box you tick on the form), to consider you for the role you chose, or for suitable roles if you send us your CV.
  • Briefs and call-back requests: to reply to you and to take the steps you asked for, such as preparing a proposal.
  • CIPM registrations: to confirm your place and tell you what happens next, as you asked.
  • All forms: our legitimate business needs, such as keeping records of our work and keeping the website secure.

We do not sell your details, and we do not use them for advertising.

Who we share it with

  • The client hiring for the role. If you apply for a role, we may share your details and CV with the client who is hiring, but only because you agreed to this when you applied.
  • The companies that run our website for us. They handle your details only to provide their service to us:
    • Supabase, which stores the forms you send and your CV;
    • Mailjet, which sends our emails, including the confirmation we send you;
    • Cloudflare, which runs the Turnstile security check;
    • Netlify, which hosts the website.

Some of these companies store or process data on servers outside Nigeria. For example, the database that holds the forms you send is in the European Union. Sanity, which holds the public content of this website, does not receive what you type into our forms.

How long we keep it

  • Applications and CVs: 12 months from the day you apply. After that, an automatic daily job deletes the application and the CV file.
  • CIPM registrations: 12 months from the day you register, then deleted by the same daily job.
  • Briefs and call-back requests: 12 months from the day you send them, then deleted by the same daily job.
  • Emails: when you send a form, we email the details to our team, and for an application to the consultant handling the role. Those emails stay in our mailboxes until we delete them.

You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time. Our team handles these requests from our admin area. See your rights below.

How we protect it

  • CVs are kept in private storage. They are never attached to emails.
  • When our team opens a CV, they use a private link that stops working after a short time: 48 hours for the link in the email to the consultant, and 10 minutes for a download from our admin area.
  • Reading the database needs private credentials that only our server and our staff hold. Its public data interface is switched off.
  • Our admin area is password protected, and only our staff can sign in.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct details that are wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your details;
  • stop using your details, or use them less, if you object to how we use them;
  • stop sharing your application with hiring clients. You can withdraw your consent at any time, and this does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

To make a request, email brasenwall@outlook.com. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act on it. Our team deletes details from our admin area.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Cookies

The public website does not set any cookies, and we do not use analytics or advertising trackers. The Cloudflare security check on our forms may use its own technical data to work.

Our admin area, used only by our staff, sets one cookie that keeps them signed in for up to seven days.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page if the way we handle your details changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
